How to renew a domain

Before it expires

We email your account address 30 days, 7 days and 1 day before a domain expires. You can renew at any time before that. Renewing adds the years to the current expiry date, so renewing early never loses you time.

When a domain expires, the website and email on it stop working.

Renew online

1. Log in and click Domains in the dashboard menu.
2. Find your domain and click Manage Domain.
3. In the Renewal box, click Renew domain.
4. Choose how many years. The total shows in your currency: BDT through EPS (bKash, Nagad, Rocket or a bank card), or USD by card through Stripe.
5. Click Pay and renew and finish the payment.
6. We renew the domain at the registry and email you the new expiry date.

Renew automatically with a card

If you pay by card, you can tick Save this card and renew automatically in the renewal window, or turn on automatic renewal when you buy the domain. We then charge that card for one year 7 days before the domain expires. If the charge fails, we email you and try again 3 days and 1 day before expiry.

To stop it, click Turn off auto-renew in the Renewal box on the domain page. Payments in BDT through EPS can't be saved, so those domains are renewed by hand.

How many years you can add

A domain can't be registered more than ten years ahead, and some extensions allow less. The list in the renewal window only shows the years you can choose.

If the domain already expired

You can still renew online for 25 days after the expiry date. After that, the domain has to be restored by our team, which costs more. Contact support if that happens.

If something goes wrong

If the renewal doesn't finish automatically, your payment is kept and our team completes the renewal. We email you when that happens and again when it's done. All payments are final.
