Connect your own domain to a Sellora store

Domains registered with Zalveriq connect in one click from Store Domains. For other domains, point @ (A record) to 103.242.219.50 and www (CNAME) to sellora.zalveriq.com, add the domain on your store's Domains page, and SSL is set up for you.

Domain registered with Zalveriq

Zalveriq sets the nameservers and records for you. "1-Click Auto-Link" on your store's Domains page does the same.

  1. In your dashboard, open My Stores and click "Store Domains".
  2. Under "Available Domains in Your Zalveriq Account", click "Connect to Store" next to the domain.
  3. In "Select Destination Store", pick your store.
  4. If you see "Existing DNS records detected for this domain", tick "Allow automatic DNS record overwrite". Only the @ and www records change. MX and TXT records stay.
  5. Tick "Set as Primary Domain for this store" if this should be the main address.
  6. Click "Connect & Issue SSL".

Domain from another company

  1. Sign in where your domain's DNS is managed, for example your registrar.
  2. Add the two records below. Remove any old @ or www records, including AAAA (IPv6) records, that point somewhere else.
  3. In your Zalveriq dashboard, open My Stores and click "Domains" on your store.
  4. Under "Add External Domain", type the domain (for example mystore.com) and click "Add".

If you use the Cloudflare proxy, point the record to 103.242.219.50 and set the SSL/TLS mode to "Full".

Checks and free SSL

Checks run by themselves. The first runs at once. Later ones wait longer each time, up to 30 minutes apart. Store Domains shows the steps: Configure DNS, Propagate DNS, Verify DNS, Issue SSL Cert, Live & Active.

When DNS points to Sellora, a free Let's Encrypt SSL certificate is issued. The domain is live when it shows "Active (SSL Live)". The certificate renews by itself when 30 days or less are left.

Click "Diagnostics" on Store Domains, or "Diagnose" on your store's Domains page, to see each check and any "Required action". After a fix, click "Re-check now".

How long it takes

  • DNS changes usually spread in under an hour.
  • If Zalveriq has to change your nameservers, it can take 24 to 48 hours.
  • A newly registered Zalveriq domain can take a few hours to appear in public DNS. If it takes more than 24 hours, contact support.
  • If DNS is correct but the site still does not answer after 30 minutes, contact support.

If something goes wrong

Problems show on Store Domains after "Provisioning Notice:". Fix the cause, then click "Retry Now".

"This domain is already connected to another account" means another account uses it. If you own the domain, contact support.
